Membership

The Duluth Retriever Club is one of the only nonprofit retriever clubs in the country. We are 100% volunteer run. Every member dollar goes back into our sport and our grounds.

Membership Benefits

What's Included

200+ Acres of Training Ground

Access over 200 acres of training grounds — including fields and technical water. At a time when most clubs operate out of the back of a trailer, our facilities are something we're proud of.

Free Train the Trainer (T3) Class

Free enrollment in our members-only T3 program — a hands-on class that introduces newer handlers to the fundamentals of retriever training alongside experienced club members.

A Historic Community

Join one of the Duluth area's most established communities of retriever owners, trainers, and competitors — sharing a passion for the sport since 1945.

The Grounds

Between our owned property and adjacent leased land, members have access to over 200 acres of training terrain, including upland fields and technical water.

Train the Trainer (T3)

T3 is free and exclusive to DRC members. Enrollment is required.

Annual Membership: $100

Members are also required to pay a $200 work bond. Your bond is returned in full if you volunteer two days at a DRC event — either our Hunt Test or one of our Field Trials. It's our way of keeping the club strong and the events running.

Many members find that volunteering is one of the best parts of being in the club.
